Anushka and SRK portray a romance of equals in zero’s first song, ‘mere naam tu’

The romantic ballad of the season is here! Launching today, the first song titled ‘Mere Naam Tu’, depicts a romance between equals as Bauua aka Shah Rukh Khan tries all the tricks to woo Aafiya played by Anushka Sharma.

The melodious track, from the much-anticipated film of the year ‘Zero’, showcases two individuals embracing the imperfections of each other and celebrating.

‘Mere Naam Tu’ composed by the popular duo Ajay-Atul is crooned by Abhay Jodhapurkar and penned by Irshad Kamil. Director Aanand L Rai who is known for his colourful depictions is all set to present a visual treat showcasing the adorable chemistry between the leading duo.

Glimpses of the song were seen in the trailer piquing the interest of the audience. The soothing number has impressed the viewers even before the release of the song, so much so that covers of the song have flooded the internet already.

Talking about the song Aanand L Rai said, “Mere Naam Tu is not just a romantic track, it has magical quality to it as we have attempted to celebrate the imperfections of everyone and feature a romance between two equal individuals. This was the first song shot in the film and hence the most difficult as well, however, the video of the song has turned out to be so beautiful that it will make you fall in love.”

Directed by Aanand L Rai, Zero is a story that celebrates life, it features Shah Rukh Khan a vertically challenged man, Anushka Sharma is seen essaying the role of a girl living with cerebral palsy, while Katrina Kaif plays a Bollywood Superstar in the film.

Red Chillies Entertainment and Colour Yellow Productions come together to bring ZERO, produced by Gauri Khan, starring Anushka Sharma, Katrina Kaif and Shah Rukh Khan, the Aanand L Rai directorial is all set to release on 21st December 2018.
