When was the last time you saw a chat show with stars addressing issues of the common man?

When was the last time you saw a star come forward on television for a cause that helps you and me?

When was the last time you saw a celebrity anchor reach out to people who are in need of not just money, but a lot of attention. Perhaps, never…

Welcome to Red Chillies Idiot Box’s latest endeavor…a chat show with Farah Khan called “Tere Mere Beach Mein”.

Tere Mere Beach Mein discusses an issue of social importance per episode. Be it the issue of how women multitask or of overcoming defects like dyslexia, Farah has got Bollywood stars to reveal how they have overcome their obstacles in life. This inspirational show is a must for all to see how success can be carved out of drawbacks.

Even social issues like a hen pecked husband or a Joru Ka Ghulam and its social repercussions have been spoken at length about. And a sensitive topic like this was addressed by none other than Bollywood Superstar and King of Romance, Shah Rukh Khan. Myths were broken as SRK expressed how his household and life is completely run by his wife.

For the first time on Indian television, an effort is being made by celebrities to come forward and help the cause of many Indians with tales of their own. Apart from this, Tere Mere Beach Mein ensures that a charity supported by an actor is given money. Once a slum dweller had quadruplets and was amply awarded with money, clothes and a job to help his family.

To give the common man a platform to share his views, a person who is associated with the topic under discussion, is invited for the shoot. A boy from Bhatinda called Bunty came on the show which featured John Abraham and Yuvraj Singh. When John came to know that Bunty was riding his bike without a helmet, he immediately gifted him his personal helmet which was valued at almost 3 lakhs. So guests on the show not just mingle with the stars, but also are gifted personal items.

For those people who cannot make it for the shoot, there is a chance to win a personal item from the star. Shah Rukh Khan donated his jacket which he wore for Billu, which will then be given to the lucky winner.

However, the show is not serious, but a seriously entertaining one. And this is primarily because of the anchor and host, Farah Khan. Her bindaas attitude and sense of humour keeps the laughter ringing right through the show.

The guests who were a part of the show are: Salman Khan & Salma Aunty, Hrithik Roshan, Shahrukh Khan, John Abraham, Yuvraj Singh, Shilpa Shetty, Bipasha Basu, Abhay Deol, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Kangana Ranaut, Asin, Deepika Padukone, Kareena Kapoor, Imraan Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Vijendra Singh, Sreesanth, Riteish Deshmukh, Viveik Oberoi, Shahid Kapur, Genelia, Yusuf Pathan, Irfan Pathan, Karan Johar & Sonam Kapoor.
